Money In The Bank Review 2024
Drew McIntyre Def Andrade, Carmelo, Jey Uso, LA Knight and Gable in Men's Money In the Bank 85/100 B
The men set a great tone for the night by taking some big chances. Everyone had a good showing, but the MVP of the match has to be Carmelo Hayes. Carmelo did a Spanish fly to Andrade off the ropes and onto a ladder. He powerbombed from the top of the ladder into another ladder. The punishment he took and the skill he showed were commendable. It looked like maybe Gable of Jey would win, but Gable was left hanging literally, and Jey uso was knocked down at the moment. At the time, I wasn't mad at Drew's win. It was a great setup for Drew to cash in on the guy who cashed in on him.
Sami Def Bron Breakker For the IC Title, 82/100 B
This match started out pretty bland for a Bron Breakker match. The wrestling was good, but it could have been more consistently thrilling. However, this match did a good job of making Bron look like he could win until he didn't. Bron has so much momentum that I'm surprised Sami was able to hit him with the Helluva kick and beat him clean.
Damian Priest Def Seth Rolling and Drew McIntyre For the World Heavyweight Title 84.5 B
This match started out as a banger between Damian and Seth. It seemed clear that Seth needed more rest than anything because he looked a lot better in his first match back than he did in the last few matches of his run as champion. Seth and Drew were getting close to an epic conclusion when Drew ran out to cash in while both men were down.
It was a strange decision by Drew, and it did not pay. Drew was able to get control of the match and beat up both guys, but just when it seemed like he would win, Cm Punk came out and ruined it. Since it was a triple threat, no rules stopped him. CM Punk's interference was remarkable for his story with Drew, and it seemed to reignite his feud with Seth Rollins, who was furious that CM Punk ruined his match. However, the story here is CM Punk not the champion. Also, this moment wasn't worth losing the Money In the Bank briefcase for the next year. In retrospect, having Drew win was a waste.
Tiffany Stratton Def Chelsea Green, IYO, Zoey Starks, Naomi, and Lyra MITB 93/100 A
The women's Money in the Bank match was sensational. It should have been the main event. Each Woman showed out. Chelsea Green stood out in this match. She feared heights, which is hilarious, and she finally got up to the top at the end before being thrown off the top of the ladder and into two tables. It looked so smooth. However, the spot of the match, and the night, for that matter, was IYO jumping off a ladder and spiking Zoey Starks with a tombstone onto another ladder. It looked so dangerous. It was a move that pushed the limits of what's possible for human bodies to achieve in wrestling.
Naomi decided she was Kofi in this match, and she was doing all kinds of athletic things, like doing a split, holding two different ladders to stay up, and then jumping off to deliver a tornado DDT to Zoey Sparks. However, when all was said and done, it was Tiffany Stratton at the Tiffy Top. She was the best candidate to win Money in the Banks. She can do it all, and she is a fast-rising star in WWE.
The New Bloodline Def Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, and Cody Rhodes 85/100 B
This was a solid match. These stars went above and beyond to make a six-man tag match feel like a noholds-barred falls count anywhere match. However, the most important thing that happened was that Solo pinned Cody. Solo pinned the man who beat Roman Reigns. He is trying to usurp Roman in every way. Solo is the chief now.
Money In The Bank Review 2024 Final Grade 85.9/100 B
Money In The Bank Review 2024. Money In the Bank was solid, and every match was good. It wasn't awful, it wasn't phenomenal, but you will enjoy it. The women were once again the highlight of Money in the Bank. While there were some questionable booking moments, there is no question about the story progression of superstars at MITB.
