1. Liv & Dom
Liv is the Queen of the WWE, right? She has been a dominant champion. She has been crushing her competition, whether it is Zelina, Becky, Rhea, or Rey Mysterio. In Addition to her skills, she is also the lead in the most interesting story in WWE. Liv's love affair with Dominik has stolen the show for weeks and keeps getting better every week. This week, Liv reacted to Dominik rejecting her by destroying the Judgment Day clubhouse and vowing to break Rhea. Then she defended her title and stole Dominik from Rhea at Summerslam.
Dominik is doing some of the best work of his career. He finally beat his father. He branched away from Judgment Day and his dad. Plus, Dominik is at the center of the hottest story in WWE. Dominik is undoubtedly one of the most promising young superstars of the 2020s.
2. The Wyatt Sicks
The Wyatt Sicks look unbeatable. Every time they show up, it's like a horror movie, and everyone tries to get out of there. The week before Summerslam, they saved Maxine Dupree and beat up the Creeds, leaving Gable all alone to run away like a field mouse. The Wyatts are one of the biggest attractions in WWE, and they are on an interesting hunt for Gable. It looks like they could thrash anyone in WWE right now.
3. Nia
Nia Jax went from Queen of the Ring to WWE World Champion. She has been excellent since her return to WWE, and she became a focal point of SmackDown's women's division. After SummerSlam, Nia stands at the top of the division and deserves it. Nia is having the best run of her career.
4. Drew
Drew McIntyre continues to spew fire. In his feud with CM Punk, Drew is supposed to be the bad guy, but he barely stretches the truth. Other than calling CM Punk poisonous, everything else he says is facts. He has said he wants to kill CM Punk, and I believe him in the way he wrestles and presents himself. Drew poved at Summerslam. He doesn't just talk the talk, either. He also walks the walk, and CM Punk found out the hard way.
5. LA Knight
LA Knight has been living rent-free in Logan Paul's head. The week before Summerslam, he ruined Logan's banner and stole his Hummer. LA Knight provides classic WWE content and looks strong while doing it. Then, LA Knight finally enjoyed the fruits of his labor when he won his first title with WWE at Summerslam. LA Knight is about to make Friday Nights a lot more exciting.
6. Gunther
Gunther is a world champion on the main roster for the first time. After winning the title, he's easily in the top ten in WWE. Anything Gunther has wanted in WWE, he has taken. He is ahead of Cody because of his credibility as a wrestler. However, he ranks low for a world champion because he has been off to the side of the hot stories in WWE and has yet to prove he can carry that part of the show.
7. Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes is a good champion, but his storylines sometimes could be better. He's joined the Bloodline story, which has significantly improved his title reign. The week before Summerslam, he stood ten toes down and dissed the entire Bloodline to their face. Call Cody whatever you want as long as you call him fearless. However, despite retaining the biggest title in all sports, he was a footnote in the real story. Solo and the new Bloodline carried SmackDown, and Roman returned to overshadow Cody. Also, Cody only beat Solo with help. However, he is the world champion and defeated Solo, so I can't argue with his resume. He's definitely in the top ten in WWE.
8. Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins has come back and inserted himself right back into one of the hottest title feuds in WWE. Seth really took his special referee status to the next level. Normally, the ref will tell you he's going to be impartial, but Seth focused more on the fact that things will go however Seth wants. Summeerslam came, and he did what he said. He let them fight but held both superstars accountable and ensured things stayed in the spirit of competition. Seth really put these men in their place, and it illuminated Seth as a top star. He came off as a big winner of Summerslam because he stood up to two top stars and proved he was a man of integrity.
9. Damian Priest
Damian was the A champion. He was the head of the hottest faction in WWE in the best story in WWE, and he was kicking butt and taking names every week. This week he came out and kicked Gunther's butt all over the arena before Gunther had to run away. However, at Summerslam, he was betrayed by Finn, and Gunther dethroned him. Still, even in defeat, Damian went out honorably, putting on a fight that honored the dominance and fighting spirit he had when he was a champion. I have nothing but respect for Priest, but he finds himself on the lower end of the list due to the loss.
10. Roman Reigns
The Tribal Chief returned in the main event of Summerslam, punched the man talking crap about him in the mouth, and left. I cannot put Roman much higher than ten because he just got back, but it is a testament to the Tribal Chief that he immediately established himself as a top dog.
Laugh of the week
Carlito
Carlito might be enjoying the best character run of his career. In Judgement Day, he gets to be funny and random and still be taken seriously as a threat. This week, while everyone was talking about Liv Morgan destroying the clubhouse, Carlito was trying to figure out if they would get a new PlayStation when Dominik escorted him away from Rhea, who was about to blow a gasket.
Summerslam Week Show of the Week
Raw
Summerslam week Raw has 7 of the top ten slots on the Power Rankings. SmackDown is good, but Raw just tells the best stories every week. Liv/Rhea, Wyatt and Gable/Alpha Academy, Damage Control/Sonya, Zoey, and Shayna. Plus, Raw has the A world champion. The A Women's champions and the Midcard and tag team belts are a wash between the shows.
Stay tuned for new Power Rankings every sunday!
